The Night Pillow is a product that is designed to appeal to a specific audience: people who are concerned about the effects of aging.

This pillow is made out of a material that the company claims will help you minimize wrinkles, clear your skin, improve the effectiveness of your face creams, improve your hair shininess, prevent hair loss, stimulate melatonin production, and even “get you laid”. I’m serious, that’s literally listed as a benefit on the official Night Pillow website.

In this review we’ll be taking an in-depth look at the features of the Night Pillow and discover whether it really lives up to those claims.

What type of sleeper is the Night Pillow designed for?

This company is very clear about what type of person this pillow is for: it’s for people who are interested in preventing the signs of premature aging. All of this pillow’s marketing materials tout its ability to reduce wrinkles, rejuvenate skin, and prevent hair breakage.

Since this is a very firm pillow, it’s best for side sleepers and back sleepers. People who sleep on their stomach will most likely find this pillow to be too firm and uncomfortable.

You should buy the Night Pillow if you:

  • Are a back or side sleeper
  • Want to prevent premature wrinkles and other signs of aging
  • Want healthier hair
  • Want to stimulate melatonin production in a natural way
  • Need additional neck, spine, and shoulder support

Features of the Night Pillow

Front view of the Night Pillow

The Night Pillow is constructed out of light memory foam material that is designed to mold to your body’s shape while you sleep on it. It features a jet-black cover – meant to stimulate melatonin production – which is supposed to help you get more deep, restorative sleep.

Of course, the main reason this pillow exists is for its supposed anti-aging benefits. The cover is made out of Mulberry silk and spandex, which the company claims helps reduce skin wrinkles and prevents your hair from breaking.

Let’s take a deep look at all of these features and find out if the Night Pillow lives up the hype.

Firmness

We rate the Night Pillow as being a very firm level of firmness. Very firm pillows are designed for people who need added neck and shoulder support. They are mostly ideal for side and back sleepers, since they generally want extra support to help maintain spinal alignment.

Stomach sleepers will most likely want to pass on this pillow in favor of something softer, or at least a pillow that lets you choose your level of firmness (like the Priceless). Very firm pillows are generally uncomfortable for people who like to sleep on their belly since it prevents your spine from aligning properly. If you know for a fact that you love firm pillows even though you’re a stomach sleeper then this could still be a great choice, however.

Durability and Construction

The Night Pillow is made out of memory foam. The memory foam that they use in this pillow feels very light and airy and did a great job of conforming to our shape when sleeping on it without needing to be broken in.

The main standout feature of this pillow is the cover. The TriSilk pillowcase that is included with the Night Pillow is made out of a proprietary blend of 95% Mulberry silk and 5% spandex. Mulberry silk is the material that is most commonly used in wedding dresses, and the company actually sources their silk from wedding gown suppliers. The spandex is added to increase durability and reduce crunching.

This pillow case is the main selling point of the Night Pillow. The company claims that this proprietary blend helps reduce wrinkles and improves your hair quality. Through our admittedly unscientific testing process, we found that the company definitely lives up to its claims. Most of our reviewers mentioned that they felt like they looked much more refreshed in the morning after sleeping on the Night Pillow.

Quite a few of our reviewers and customers mentioned that their hair was much shinier compared to using standard cotton-based pillowcases. The reason for this is because the silk material doesn’t strip the natural oils from your hair (which cotton definitely does). If you combine this with the no-shampoo lifestyle, we think that you’ll definitely love the way your hair looks.

What sizes are available?

The Night Pillow is available in the following sizes:

  • Standard/Queen: 24 x 5 x 16 inches – 5 pounds
  • King: 32 x 5 x 18 inches – 6 pounds

Pricing

Let’s face it: the Night Pillow is extremely expensive. If you’re reading this review, you’re most likely okay with that. If not, there are definitely cheaper premium pillows available, although they may not have the anti-aging benefits that this one has.

How much does the Night Pillow cost?

  • Standard/Queen – $150
  • King – $200

Shipping on Amazon is an additional $6.29.

To clean the memory foam pillow: Spot clean only. DO NOT machine wash the pillow.
