Pros and cons
|Suitable for all sleeper types||Some may find it too springy|
|Can accommodate heavier individuals||Some may find it to be a bit too thick|
|Choices of firmness levels|
The hybrid WinkBed mattress combines a pressure-relieving pillow top with supportive innerspring coils, measures 14 inches from base to cover and contains a gel-infused cooling layer amidst its many coils — but can it offer the perfect amount of comfort and support for you? Let’s find out.
Who should buy The Winkbed?
- All sleeper types
- All body types including heavier individuals
- Those who like innerspring beds
The Winkbed comes in three different firmness levels to ensure sleepers can find the best fit. An additional Plus version of the Winkbed offers a fourth and firmest option of the bed and is designed to give heavier sleepers optimal support.
If you like the feel of a traditional innerspring mattress, the WinkBed is the mattress for you. It has a traditional and supportive feel that could help relieve back pain for back and stomach sleepers.
Also, if you tend to overheat at night, this bed is encased in a performance based Tencel cover that is infused with eucalyptus which provides cooling benefits that could help you beat the heat even on the warmest nights.
And lastly, The Winkbed can also be great for you combination sleepers who tend to sleep in different positions throughout the night. This bouncy bed should allow you to switch sleeping positions with ease, but it still offers some cushion at your pressure points. I definitely felt well supported throughout the night as I went from sleeping on my back to my side.
The Winkbed mattress comes in a total of 4 firmness options:
- Softer – we rate this version around 4 on the 10-point mattress firmness scale, which means it has a medium soft feel. We recommend this firmness level for those of you who are on the lighter side and prefer more of a plush sleep surface. This version also provides more motion isolation which can be good for those who share a bed.
- Luxury Firm – This version comes in at a 6 on the mattress firmness scale, so it can be considered medium firm. This firmness level is perfect for back and combination sleepers because of the responsiveness and support it offers. It also does an amazing job filling in the lumbar region which could help relieve back pain.
- Firmer – We rate this version a 7 when we tried it out, which is just a touch firmer than medium firm. We recommend this level to those of you who weigh over 200 pounds and sleep on your back or stomachs.
- PLUS – This version comes in at an 8, which means it has a truly firm feel to it. Choose this level if you weigh over 230 pounds.
This 13.5-inch mattress is durable and cooling. It’s also made with CertiPUR-US® Certified foams, which means it’s free of harmful chemicals and heavy metals. The WinkBed uses a Tencel cover. Tencel is an all-natural, eco-friendly material made from eucalyptus wood cellulose. This material is known for being cooling and breathable, which is good news for hot sleepers. This cover is also quilted with WinkBeds’ Hypersoft foam for initial pressure relief.
Next up is a pillow top comfort layer that’s infused with gel SupportCell foam. This gel foam layer provides some nice pressure relief to sleepers, and the gel infusion promotes airflow throughout the bed. This foam is made with shock-absorbing air capsules that help reduce motion transfer, which is great for those of you who sleep with your partners (or your pets).
Hybrid mattresses will not be a hybrid without coils and below this bed’s comfort layers is a set of supportive pocketed coils that are zoned to provide optimal support in the midsection of the body where it’s needed most and lighter support at the head and feet.
However, you may find some of the firmness options too soft or too firm for your liking. And although the WinkBed is a great mattress for those who want a firm bed and sleepers looking for edge support, it isn’t likely a great choice for sleepers who like a bed that gives the feel of a conforming hug like some memory foam mattresses provide.
Sizes and Pricing
The WinkBed Mattress comes in at a lower price than average for a luxury hybrid model. Given its high-quality materials and construction, this makes it an exceptional value for many shoppers. The Softer, Luxury Firm, and Firmer versions of the mattress are priced the same, the PLUS option however, costs extra.
The Winkbed comes in 6 sizes:
- Twin (39” x 75” x 13.5”) – $1,149
- Twin XL (39” x 80” x 13.5”) – $1,249
- Full (54” x 75” x 13.5”) – $1,499
- Queen (60” x 80” x 13.5”) – $1,799
- King (76” x 80” x 13.5”) – $1,999
- California King (72” x 84” x 13.5”) – $2,049
Winkbeds offers a completely risk-free 120-night sleep trial. That’s slightly longer than the 90-night sleep trial that many bed-in-a-box mattress companies offer, but it’s shorter than the average of new mattresses by comparison.
Moreover, The WinkBed Mattress also comes with a lifetime limited warranty. The warranty covers deterioration including indentations greater than 1.5 inches that are not associated with sag from the use of an improper foundation.

Pros and cons
|No sunk in feel||Not suitable for heavier individuals|
|Choices of firmness levels||Some may find the mattress to be too firm or too soft|
The GravityLux is the brand’s all-foam mattress. It comes in multiple firmness options, features CertiPUR-US certified foams, and sleeps cooler than some foam beds. This mattress is designed with deep pressure relief and comfort in mind. But is it the foam bed you’ve been looking for? Continue reading to find out.
Who should buy the GravityLux?
The all-foam GravityLux comes in three different firmness options which allows you to tailor the mattress to your particular needs and preferences. You can choose from either Soft, Medium, and/or Firm.
Choose the Soft if you have a lighter body weight and you want that feel of a conforming hug that an all-foam mattress provides albeit without the associated heat retention. The Medium would be great for average weight back and combo sleepers but strict side sleepers however, may find this model a bit too firm. The Soft model would be better at providing adequate pressure relief for side sleepers. But the Medium does provide more edge support and motion isolation for couples and people who sleep with their pets. Finally, the Firm would be perfect for back and stomach sleepers as it provides great support for the hips and promotes a neutral spinal alignment.
The GravityLux comes in three firmness options:
- Soft – great if you weigh under 130lbs and prefer a plush feel
- Medium – back and combo sleepers would enjoy this firmness level as well as couples who prefer sufficient motion isolation and strong edge support.
- Firm – perfect for stomach and back sleepers as it provides the much needed hip support and spinal alignment for them.
This 11-inch mattress has a Tencel cover derived from eucalyptus. This fabric absorbs moisture while feeling cool to the touch to help keep the sleep surface dry and reduce overheating. The cover is also quilted with some gel-infused foam to provide some initial pressure relief.
The main comfort layer is made up of the brand’s AirCell Memory Foam that contours to the sleeper’s body to relieve pressure. It also contains shock-absorbing air capsules to absorb motion and prevent vibrations from spreading across the surface of the mattress. While some types of memory foam are prone to heat retention, AirCell Memory Foam is engineered to let heat escape. I tend to sleep hot and I found that the GravityLux mattress helped me sleep more temperature neutral.
Next up is a layer of zoned Progression Foam, another foam unique to WinkBeds. This layer was designed to offer extra support around the lower back and extra softness around the shoulders. This type of zoned support is great for sleepers who struggle with back pain.
The construction wraps up with a layer of high-density Atlas Core foam. This foam offers the GravityLux a ton of durability. It also gives the mattress a lot of its feel, because the GravityLux is dominated by this layer; it feels firmer than a traditional memory foam bed.
This could be a problem for those of you who are looking for that traditional memory foam feel that features slow-moving sinkage. Furthermore, The GravityLux sleeps much cooler than a traditional memory foam mattress, but it won’t feature as much airflow as a high-quality innerspring mattress.

The GravityLux comes in 6 sizes:
- Twin (38” x 75” x 11”) – $1,099
- Twin XL (38” x 80” x 11”) – $1,999
- Full (54” x 75” x 11”) – $1,599
- Queen (60” x 80” x 11”) – $1,599
- King (76” x 80” x 11”) – $1,999
- California King (72” x 84” x 11”) – $1,999

Pros and cons
|Very responsive||Not suitable for heavier individuals|
|All-natural||Only comes in one firmness level|
|Suitable for all sleeper types|
Latex mattresses have become increasingly popular in recent years thanks to latex’s durability, supportiveness, and eco-friendliness. The EcoCloud is a newer product from WinkBeds. It’s a latex hybrid, made using natural Talalay latex and a zoned support system of recycled steel coils.
If you’re an eco-minded shopper looking for a high-quality mattress, you’re going to want to take a look at this mattress which is very likely good not just for your back but also the environment. Let’s have a closer look at it.
Who should buy the EcoCloud?
Anyone looking for a bed made from eco-friendly natural materials will be happy with the EcoCloud. It does however, offer only 1 firmness option which rates around a 5 out of 10 in the firmness scale with 1 being the softest and 10 the firmest. So despite being a versatile choice for a variety of comfort preferences and sleep positions, the EcoCloud may not be supportive enough for heavier back and stomach sleepers who need ample hip and lumbar support.
I do recommend the EcoCloud to combination sleepers, who should find its medium-firm feel comfortable in a range of positions. It’s also responsive and bouncy, so combo sleepers will be able to switch positions with ease. Moreover, the EcoCloud has zoned support, which is especially helpful for those who suffer from back pain, because it promotes a neutral spinal alignment.
This is also a great choice if you tend to sleep hot and want a mattress with good cooling properties. But this might not be the bed for you if you are easily disturbed by noisy coils and motion transfer from your partner or pet.
We rated The EcoCloud 5-6 out of 10 on the 10-point firmness scale which means it has a truly medium-firm feel to it.
The WinkBeds EcoCloud is a hybrid mattress, meaning it utilizes both innerspring metal coils and a significant comfort system. The mattress cover is made from organic cotton and sustainable New Zealand wool that lends some plushness and pressure relief to the top of the bed.
Underneath the wool, there’s 4” of zoned Talalay latex foam, which is bouncy, responsive, and breathable. The bottom layer of this WinkBeds mattress is made from individually wrapped, recycled steel coils. These coils have zoned support, which means they are firmer at the hips, and softer at the shoulders and feet. This helps promote a neutral spinal alignment, which could prevent back pain.
Lastly, the EcoCloud is made with specialized edge support coils, which help prevent the mattress from sagging when you’re lying (or sitting) on the edge. It’s safe to say that the EcoCloud mattress provided the best edge support out of all the WinkBed mattresses we have tried.
Every component of the EcoCloud is made with sustainability in mind. From the recycled metal used in the spring system, to the natural latex comfort layer, and the organic cotton cover, the EcoCloud truly lives up to its name.
