Nectar is a pillow that is designed to give you the ability to customize the level of firmness. The pillow uses a “pillow-within-a-pillow” design, with an outer comfort layer and an inner support layer.
Our favorite thing about the Nectar pillow is that it does a great job of providing neck support. Our least favorite aspect is that it takes a little bit of trial and error to adjust the fill to your comfort preference.

What type of sleeper is the Nectar pillow designed for?
Since it gives you the ability to add or remove the fill, the Nectar pillow is great for people who are very particular about their sleeping environment and want the option to customize the level of firmness.
The Nectar is a memory foam pillow. You should buy a memory foam pillow if you want your pillow to conform to the shape of your head while you sleep.
Features of the Nectar pillow
The Nectar pillow is constructed out of memory foam with removable fill, which gives you the ability to adjust the firmness level to your liking. The outer layer is made out of Tencel fabric, which is designed to provide a cooling effect.
Nectar features a “pillow-in-a-pillow” construction, with an outer shell that provides loft and comfort and an inner shell contains two types of foam for added support.
When you purchase from the official Nectar Sleep website, you get free shipping and returns. The pillow comes with a 50-night trial so you can return the pillow if you aren’t completely satisfied.
The company also offers a financing plan so that you can buy the pillow with installment payments.
Now that we’ve got the basics out of the way, let’s take an in-depth look at Nectar pillow’s features.
Firmness
The ability to adjust the firmness level of your pillow is by far the standout feature of the Nectar.
If your pillow arrives and it feels too firm, you can just remove some of the stuffing to make it softer. The company recommends that you hold on to the removed stuffing in case you later decide that you want your pillow to be more firm.
We rate the pillow as being firm when you first open the package. If you love the feel of a firm pillow (this is really common with side sleepers), then you won’t need to make any adjustments. Other examples of firm pillows include Night and airweave.
If you prefer a softer pillow (looking at you, stomach sleepers), then you can open up the pillow and remove some of the filling. We recommend removing a little bit at a time and testing it out until you reach your sweet spot. Eden by Coop Home Goods and the Pluto are good examples of other soft pillows.
Durability and construction
Pillow-in-pillow designs are rapidly becoming one of the most popular types of pillow, especially in the premium segment. The Nectar uses this same popular design, with an outer shell that is designed to provide comfort with an inner support layer.
The outer shell is made out of quilted memory foam, which we found to be extremely comfortable and breathable due to the Tencel cooling fabric and active venting technology that the company uses.
The visco-elastic memory foam provides contour and comfort. We noticed that this type of material does a great job of “bouncing back”. This is excellent because I’ve noticed that I frequently have to scrunch and adjust cheaper pillows throughout the night when my sleeping position changes. We’re happy to report that you won’t have that issue with Nectar.
The Nectar pillow comes overfilled, so that you can remove some of the filling to meet your own comfort preference.
Temperature control
As we previously mentioned, Nectar uses Tencel cooling fabric on the outer layer of their pillow. This material is extremely common among premium pillows, since companies know that staying cool is one of the most important things to do if you want to get a good night of sleep.
Cooling effects are pretty much standard these days, and the Nectar does a great job of keeping up with the competition. All of our testers reported that they didn’t experience any issues with overheating while using this pillow.
Nectar pillow sizing
The Nectar Pillow is available in only one size. The dimensions of this pillow are 29in x 17in x 5.5in, which should be ideal for a Queen-sized mattress.
Pricing
You can buy the Nectar for a one-time cost of $75, which is an extremely competitive price for a premium pillow. For reference, this price is comparable to the Priceless Pillow but significantly cheaper than the Luxe.
You can also finance this pillow with costs as low as $13 per month. You exact financing rate will be personalized to you based on your credit history.

Warranty
We couldn’t find any information about a warranty for the Nectar pillow. The warranty section on the official Nectar website gives details about their mattress warranty but doesn’t mention their pillows.
We’ve reached out to the company for comment and will update this section when we receive updated information.
Trial period
The Nectar pillow comes with a 50-night trial period. This is significantly below average in the pillow industry. Most other brands come with a standard 100-night trial.
If you aren’t completely satisfied with your Nectar Pillow within the first 50 days, simply contact the company to initiate the return process.
Care and maintenance
If your pillow gets soiled, the company recommends that you spot clean it using mild soap and water. To dry, pat gently and squeeze the water out. Let the pillow air dry.
DO NOT machine wash or dry the Nectar pillow.
