Fresh off the success of their first ever mattress, the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid mattress, DreamCloud has taken it up a notch by releasing the DreamCloud Premier. While the differences between the two mattresses may be few, they are quite distinct. Put it this way, if DreamCloud is luxury, DreamCloud Premier is royalty.
DreamCloud (save $200 when clicking on this link) is a hybrid mattress that contains an innerspring core surrounded by a gel comfort layer. It has five different layers including a quilted euro top and a comfort & contour layer. The DreamCloud Premier mattress has all the components of the original DreamCloud mattress, with a few added opulent extras such as an ultra-soft Mongolian cashmere cover and a premium high-loft memory foam comfort layer. It is also 1 inch thicker than the original DreamCloud’s 14 inches.
DreamCloud offers a 365-day trial and a lifetime warranty on all of their mattresses. They also offer free shipping and a 0% financing option.
Our favorite thing about the DreamCloud Hybrid Luxury Mattress is that it is designed to provide a cooling effect. Another aspect that won over our reviewers is that the multiple memory foam layers provide adequate support for sore backs while also preserving a soft feel. For the DreamCloud Premier mattress, our favorite thing is that it provides an opulent sleeping experience for all types of sleepers due to its firmer yet somehow cuddly feel.
Read on to find out all of the positive and negative aspects of both DreamCloud mattresses.

What type of sleeper should use the DreamCloud Mattress?
After extensive testing and feedback from real customers, we’ve determined that the DreamCloud and DreamCloud Premier are both well suited to side and combination sleepers, although back and stomach sleepers may enjoy the slightly firmer feel of the DreamCloud Premier.
Both mattresses provided phenomenal spinal support for all back sleepers no matter how much they weighed. Since both the DreamCloud and the DreamCloud Premier are hybrid-style mattresses with sturdy construction, sleepers who weigh more than the average still found that their backs and spine were fully supported.
Stomach sleepers who weigh more than average found that the mattress “sank in” on their stomach area. If you’re average weight or lower you shouldn’t have that issue.
Side sleepers who are lighter than average might find that the DreamCloud Premier can be a bit too firm, especially in the shoulder area. Of course, if you know that you prefer a firmer mattress you should definitely consider the DreamCloud Premier even if you’re a light side sleeper.
Which DreamCloud mattress is for you?
You should buy the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid mattress if you:

- Prefer the feel of a firmer mattress
- Sleep with a partner who has a different sleeping style
- Your neck, shoulders and hips need more pressure-relieving support

1. DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid
The DreamCloud Mattress was launched in 2016 with the goal of bringing sleepers a luxury hybrid mattress experience. To do this, they created a tall mattress that contains both innerspring coils and multiple layers of foam.
The DreamCloud is definitely occupying a niche space in the “mattress-in-a-box” segment. While they do face stiff competition from brands like Puffy and Saatva, they are the most popular hybrid mattress in this category.
Is DreamCloud living up to their goal of creating a luxury hybrid mattress? Let’s take a deep dive into the details and find out.
DreamCloud manufactures their mattresses with a medium-firm level of firmness. The mattress will be more firm than average which is great for people who want more support. Since it’s medium-firm it will also have a soft feel to it that is ideal for people who want that “floating” sensation while laying on their mattress.
Since this mattress is on the medium firm scale, it is perfect for side and combo sleepers. The firmness also provides adequate support for people who have chronic back pain. It’s also great for people who weigh average or greater.
Couples who have different sleeping positions will also like the DreamCloud mattress since it falls right in between the soft to firm scale.
Like other luxury brands, DreamCloud makes their mattresses out of high quality materials that are designed to last.
The 5-layer construction includes sections that are designed to provide stability and support. The stabilizing base foam layer, pocketed inner-spring coil, and supportive high-density foam layers help support the foam-filled comfort layers and prevent the mattress from losing it’s shape over time.
The DreamCloud is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for as long as you own and use the mattress. We estimate that the DreamCloud will last 15 years with normal use, although you can expect it to last much longer with proper care and maintenance.
The DreamCloud is an extremely tall mattress, measuring in at a whopping 14″ in height. Of course that makes sense when you realize that it needs to be big enough to contain several layers of foam and tightly-wound innerspring coils. Let’s take a look at the different layers and find out just how this mattress is constructed.
The first thing you’ll notice when inspecting your DreamCloud mattress is the cover. The cover is made out of a cashmere and polyester blend for softness. It also features a memory foam quilting for added comfort and pressure relief. Staying cool at night is an essential aspect of sleep hygiene and DreamCloud’s cooling cover provides exactly that.
Just underneath the cover you’ll find two layers of foam. One is a cooling gel memory foam designed to contour and relieve pressure from your body. The other layer is a foam transition layer that is designed to stop you from sinking in.
Digging deeper into the guts of this mattress we’ll find the layer of pocketed coils. This is the primary support structure of the mattress is the the part that ensures that it maintains its shape over time. The springs are individually wrapped and provide just the right amount of bounciness. They help reduce motion transfer, so if you are easily disturbed by your partner tossing and turning this layer will definitely help. The coils also help disperse heat, giving you a cooler night of sleep.
When we get to the base of the mattress we find the foundation layer. This is a layer of high-density polyfoam that primarily cradles the pocketed coils, helping them stay in place and giving them enough support to do their job. It also provides a solid foundation for the entire mattress and helps it to support your body weight.
We found that the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid mattress does an excellent job of regulating temperature and keeping you cool while sleeping. The innerspring coil layer is also ventilated, which helps improve airflow and lower your body temperature while sleeping.
The DreamCloud Mattress is one of the best that we’ve tried when it comes to dissipating heat and regulating temperature. If you have problems with getting too hot and waking up covered in sweat at night, then this mattress could be a great solution.

2. DreamCloud Premier
They have put out all the stops for this one. The DreamCloud Premier mattress features DreamCloud’s own proprietary Cashex cashmere cover as well as TrueLoft EuroTop giving you that classic, opulent feel.
While the original DreamCloud is more on the affordable side, the DreamCloud Premier is slightly pricier but not as expensive as other mattress brands that are on par with its quality. We like that because it makes it accessible for a greater number of people, not just the so-called elites.
Everyone deserves an amazing sleep experience.
The DreamCloud Premier is similar to the firmness level of the original DreamCloud in that they are both Luxury Firm but we find that the latter is just a tad firmer making it an excellent choice for back and stomach sleepers.
While the quilted EuroTop cover can be a bit misleading in that you would think the DreamCloud Premier is a softer mattress, it actually offers more solid support and has more of a memory foam feel than the original DreamCloud mattress. But that’s not to say that this bed is hard. In fact, we have found that the DreamCloud Premier contours perfectly to your body giving you great pressure relief. This makes it a good option for side and combination sleepers too.
Couples with different sleeping styles will appreciate medium firmness level as well.
The DreamCloud Premier is made up of 6 layers. The first layer is their very own Cashex cashmere blend cover that is as cooling as it is luxurious. The second layer features a premium, high-loft memory foam quilted directly into the cover that cradles your body from head to toe.
The transition layer is made up of a high-density gel memory foam that helps in relieving your pressure points while helping to keep you cool throughout the night. The next layer is low motion transfer foam that helps in isolating motion transfer while also acting as a cushion for the coils.
Next comes the heavy-duty edge to edge individually wrapped coils that feature a double-row rim for superior edge support.
Last but not the least is the base which is porous. This helps in maximizing air flow as well as helping to re-distribute unwanted vibrations from the coil system.
The DreamCloud Premier measures a whopping 15 inches in thickness and is quite a big mattress so you may need help in setting up your bed.
Just like the original DreamCloud mattress, we have found that the DreamCloud Premier is great at regulating temperature and keeping you cool while you sleep. While it may not be the ultimate cooling bed there is, it does its job beautifully. Again, the innerspring coils factor in greatly into why the DreamCloud Premier is great at keeping heat away.

Warranty, Trial period and Maintenance
DreamCloud offers a limited lifetime warranty on their mattresses. This warranty will protect you from manufacturing defects as long as you own and use your mattress.
What are the specific details? Does DreamCloud actually honor their warranty? Here’s what you need to know:
- During the first 10 years of ownership, DreamCloud will completely replace your old mattress with a brand new one if you find a defect in workmanship and materials.
- Once you’ve owned your mattress for 10 years or longer, DreamCloud will either repair and recover your mattress OR replace it with a new one at their discretion.
- Once DreamCloud confirms that there is a defect in workmanship or materials, they will waive any shipping and transportation charges.
- Your mattress must be used on an appropriate base or frame.
- The warranty only applies to the original owner.
- DreamCloud will not honor the warranty if it has been burnt, abused, damaged, misused, or neglected.
- Normal body impressions (less than 1.5″) are not covered. Impressions that are greater than 1.5″ ARE covered by the warranty.
Like most other luxury brands, DreamCloud offers a trial period for their mattresses. DreamCloud offers an extremely generous 365-night sleep trial that begins 30 days after your purchase date. So in reality it’s a 395-night trial, which is about as generous as it gets.
DreamCloud wants you to sleep on your mattress for 30 nights to give it enough time to break in before you initiate your return. The reason they offer a 365-night trial is because they want you to experience their mattress during all four seasons so you can get a complete idea of how it affects your sleep during different environmental conditions.
Is there a catch to DreamClouds trial period? Here are the key points you need to know before initiating a free return:
- You must be within the 365-day trial window (beginning 30 days after purchase)
- Your mattress must be clean and undamaged
- All return requests must be approved before processing. To initiate a refund, contact DreamCloud at 1-855-976-4860 or [email protected]
- Once approved, you will receive a refund for the total unit price minus and promotions or discounts
- You can either return the mattress or even keep it!
For more information, view DreamCloud’s return section on their website.
Care and maintenance
It’s always important to care for your mattress if you want to extend its lifespan. Fortunately, DreamCloud makes their mattresses extremely simple to take care of.
If you spill on or stain your mattress, you can spot clean it the same way you would any other mattress. If the stain is large you can remove the cover and wash it in a machine.
You definitely shouldn’t flip your DreamCloud mattress, since it’s designed to be slept on only one side. We do recommend rotating your mattress (flipping it so the head end becomes the foot end) a few times per year so you don’t put too much pressure on one end of the mattress. This will make sure that your mattress lasts as long as possible.
