Nest Bedding pillows are made by the same family-owned, California-based company that makes the popular Nest Mattress collection. The company is famous for manufacturing natural products (they’re especially known for their sheets) using their own proprietary blend that mimics the feel of a down and feather pillow.
After extensive testing, our favorite aspect of the Nest Bedding pillow collection is that the pillows provide great head/neck support and improve breathing. Our least favorite thing about these pillows is that there are limited firmness options.
Nest Bedding Pillows: Our Top Picks
- Easy Breather – Editor’s choice
- Easy Breather Natural – Best natural pillow
- Easy Breather Side Sleeper – Best pillow for side sleepers
- Easy Breather Travel – Best travel pillow
What type of sleeper should buy a pillow from the Nest Bedding collection?
We ran Nest Bedding pillows through extensive testing and sought feedback from real customers, determining that they are best for back sleepers. Side sleepers also rated the pillow highly, while stomach sleepers gave these pillows a lower rating. If you’re a stomach sleeper you may want to look elsewhere for your pillow needs.
You should buy Nest Bedding pillows if:
- You are a back or side sleeper
- You want an adjustable-loft pillow
- You have neck pain
- Pressure relief is important to you
Features of Nest Bedding pillows
In addition to their ergonomic properties, Nest Bedding pillows are also made to be molded, giving you the ability to scrunch it up to the perfect shape for you.
We liked that the pillows are washable and easy to clean. There are limited firmness options available, so if you’re particular about how soft your pillows are you may want to shop elsewhere.
Firmness
We rate Nest Bedding pillows as being at a medium-firm level of firmness. They will provide you with lots of support but with a gentle give. You won’t sink in too much but it also won’t feel like sleeping on a rock.
Medium-firm pillows are great for side sleepers and back sleepers who need extra neck support. If you sleep on your stomach you will most likely think that this pillow is a bit too firm for your preferences, unless you know for a fact that you prefer a firmer feel.
Bottom line: if you like to “sink in” to your pillow, you’ll definitely want to look for something softer. But if the idea of a “soft but firm” pillow appeals to you, Nest Bedding is the perfect choice.
Durability and Construction
Nest Bedding offers a few different models manufactured out of either shredded foam, shredded latex, or memory foam. This brand currently offers five different pillows, with each giving you the ability to adjust the loft and add or remove fill.
The different pillows that the company offers are made out of the following materials:
- The Easy Breather is made out of shredded memory foam and the cover is constructed from Tencel Iyocell.
- If you want to avoid artificial materials, the Easy Breather Natural features shredded latex construction with a natural cotton cover.
- The Easy Breather Side Sleeper is made out of the same materials as the standard Easy Breather pillow, but with an angular shape that is designed for people who sleep on their side. It reminded me of the Sidney Sleep Bamboo Curve pillow (similar construction).
What sizes are available?
Nest Bedding makes their pillows in a few different standard sizes:
- Standard 24″ x 16″
- Queen 27″ x 16″
- King 32″ x 16″
Each pillow also features an adjustable loft and the ability to add or remove filling, which can alter the dimensions of your pillow.
Warranty
The company offers a limited warranty for all of their Nest Bedding products that protects you against product defects for 2 years from the date of purchase.
To make a warranty claim email customerservice@nestbedding.com with the following info:
- Order number and/or the name of the person who placed the order
- A brief description of the problem you are having with your pillow
- A photo of the issue
A member of Nest Bedding’s customer service team will contact you within 24 hours to assist you with your claim.
Trial period
Nest Bedding offers a 30-day trial period for their pillows. This is considerably below average in this industry, with 100-night trials being the standard.
If you decide that your pillow doesn’t meet your needs, contact customerservice@nestbedding.com to initiate a return. Once your return is approved, you will receive a shipping label and the company will either schedule a pickup or you can drop it off at the nearest carrier service.
Once your return is approved, you must mail it back within 30 days. If you wait longer than 30 days then you’ll forfeit your return privileges.
Care and maintenance
If you stain your pillow, you can gently spot clean the affected area. These pillows are now designed to be washable in a machine. You can tumble dry the pillow with no heat to refresh the foam and redistribute the fill.
