As we’ve mentioned (a couple of times now), the Sweetnight Prime mattress has four firmness levels, two on either side. A soft and medium-soft on one side and a medium and medium-firm on the other – all you need to do is to flip the mattress to get your chosen mattress firmness level.
Strict side sleepers and combination sleepers who sleep mostly on their sides would do well on the softer side while back and stomach sleepers would fare better on the firmer side.
Unfortunately, because the Sweetnight Prime is an all-foam mattress, it may not be able to provide enough support for those who weigh well over 300 lbs.
Another perk of having multiple firmness options within one bed is that it would suit those who share a bed with a partner, no matter whether they have the same sleep position preferences or not.
Speaking of sharing a bed, we found the Sweetnight Prime mattress to have excellent motion isolation when we tried the mattress out with a partner.
What we didn’t really like though is that the Sweetnight Prime mattress’ edge support leaves much to be desired so if you are the type of sleeper who likes to sleep closer to the edge of the bed, then this mattress might not be the one for you.
Construction
There are 4 foam layers within the Sweetnight Prime mattress. All these layers come encased in an anti-pilling, breathable cotton mattress cover that’s OEKO-TEX certified. The mattress cover also features a modern checkered design that would suit any bedroom’s decor.
The first comfort layer on the Sweetnight Prime mattress is made up memory foam that’s infused with cooling gel that not only helps you sleep cool but offers maximum pressure support that only memory foam can give.
If you’re thinking that the Sweetnight Prime’s memory foam layer will make you feel as though you are stuck in the mud, you can stop right there – we did not feel any of the sinkage that’s usually associated with true memory foam beds.
The second layer is made up of a transition layer that’s made up of airflow high density foam that helps with proper spinal alignment while providing extra support.
These two layers make up the softer side of the Sweetnight Prime.
On the flip and firmer side, the comfort layer is made up of the same cooling-gel infused memory foam, only firmer. Again, it provides the same contouring pressure relief as the softer side does.

Sitting at a 5-6 on the mattress firmness scale, the Nolah Original 10 has a medium to medium firm feel, depending on body weight. We did not experience any cross-mattress movement along the mattress surface when we tried it out with a partner. Most 10-inch mattresses do not come with a coil unit hence why we do not recommend them to those who weigh well over 250 lbs.
Sleeping position
Most 10-inch mattresses come in different firmness levels but if you are a strict side sleeper and need more cushioning, a thinner mattress may not be for you.
Height of your frame
If you have a low lying foundation or bed frame, a thinner mattress might give you a low lying bed resulting in difficulty getting in and out of bed.
Health and mobility
Older people and those who have chronic conditions might have difficulty getting in and out of a lower and thinner mattress.
