Not a lot of trundle mattresses come as a hybrid mattress. Most trundle beds are only made up of foam. But the Saatva Bunk and Trundle mattress combines the benefits of both an innerspring mattress and a memory foam mattress.
Now you might be thinking: is it really possible that I would not feel the steel coils within such a thin mattress?
And the answer to that is no, you definitely won’t.
The Saatva Bunk and Trundle mattress contains an eco-insulator pad (in addition to a transition layer) that prevents you from feeling the coils through the mattress.
Now that THAT worry is out of the way, I like the Saatva Bunk and Trundle mattress because they managed to cram in quite a few layers in what supposedly is a thinner than average mattress that can be tucked away when not in use. And all these layers serve a purpose.
First of all, there’s the cooling gel-infused memory foam lumbar crown layer that offers targeted support for (where else) the lumbar area.
