Having issues with your Winkbeds mattress? Or maybe you want to learn about the brand’s warranty policy before purchasing a mattress? Either way, we’ve put together all the info you’ll need on the Winkbeds warranty. In this article, you’ll learn how the Winkbeds warranty works, how long it lasts, and how to make a claim.
How the Winkbeds mattress warranty works
All Winkbeds mattresses are backed by a lifetime warranty that is only valid for the original buyer and is non-transferable.
You should know that this warranty only applies if you bought your mattress after July 25, 2018. This warranty is also limited to one replacement per mattress purchased.

With that out of the way, let’s get down to business. Find out what exactly is covered in the Winkbeds mattress warranty below.
What the warranty covers
The Winkbeds mattress warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials. To be more specific, the warranty covers the following defects:
- Indentations greater than 1.5 inches – Take note, any sagging or indentations should not result from the use of an improper or unsupportive foundation or bed base. It’s also imperative that your foundation or bed frame provides enough to support the collective weight of both you and your Winkbed mattress.
- Physical flaws due to manufacturing defects – These flaws include split or cracked foam and deteriorated springs despite normal usage and proper handling. (If I were you, I’d make sure to take as much care of the mattress as possible by rotating it and avoiding eating and drinking in bed.)
I should note that some consumers have reported sagging issues with the Winkbed Original Luxury Firm mattress. Learn more about this in our article on Winkbeds mattress complaints.
Terms and conditions
In the event that you discover a defect, Winkbeds will replace your old mattress with a brand new one of the same model.
Winkbeds will shoulder all transportation costs associated with returning and replacing your mattress. This warranty only covers mattresses manufactured by Winkbeds and purchased from Winkbeds or authorized retailers.
The warranty will only be applied if you fulfilled your responsibilities as stated in the official fine print. It’s quite simple really.
- Make sure to place your Winkbed mattress on a firm, supportive surface that’s capable of providing durable support for the sleepers as well as the mattress.
- You are going to have to offer proof that you indeed used a proper foundation or bed base for the entire time you’ve owned your mattress. You also need to ensure that the mattress law tag is still attached to the mattress and has not been tampered with.
- You should present a copy of your receipt as proof that you’re the original purchaser of the mattress.
At this point Winkbeds may ask you for photo evidence of the defect on your mattress and that it’s being used on a supportive bed base. More on this later. For now, let’s talk about exclusions.
Exclusions
The Winkbed mattress warranty has five core exclusions: misuse of the mattress, normal wear-and-tear, comfort preference, damage caused by customers, and previously purchased mattresses.
- The Winkbed warranty won’t apply to any mattress which has been subject to misuse, neglect, or violation of the express instructions to place the mattress on a suitable bed frame. With that said, a normal and gradual softening of the foam layers of the mattress is also not covered in the warranty.
- If your reason for filing a warranty claim is that the mattress does not suit your unique preferences, Winkbeds will not accommodate you. You have the 120-night risk free trial to decide whether you want to keep the bed or not. Once you’re past that point, you’ll have to follow the terms and conditions of the warranty.
- The warranty also does not cover defects caused by the consumer. Damage to the structure or cover material of the mattress can instantly void your warranty. These include but are not limited to burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage, or stains.
- Any Winkbed mattresses that are sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “returned”, “previously owned” etc are excluded from the warranty. You should be the first purchaser of the mattress to make a warranty claim. Not second, not third, but first.
How long does the Winkbeds warranty last?
Winkbeds offers a lifetime mattress warranty which is in effect for the full period of the purchaser’s ownership and use of a mattress.
Mattresses with lifetime warranties are not that common in the bed-in-a-box industry. In fact, the industry standard warranty only lasts for 10 years.
However, many online brands have started offering 15-year, 20-year, and 25-year warranties as well for their mattresses.

How to make a claim?
According to the Winkbeds website, the first thing you should do is contact them through info@winkbeds.com or 1-855-946-5233.
State that you would like to make a warranty claim and make sure to include your reason for doing so. At this stage, Winkbeds may require you to send them photo evidence of the defect on your mattress.
Remember: the warranty only covers sagging and indentations greater than 1.5 inches as well as structural defects such as split or cracked foam. They will be very strict with these terms so you have to be certain that the defects on your mattress warrant a replacement.
If Winkbeds determines that your mattress does have a defect as described in their policy, the company will replace your mattress at no cost to you. You will receive the same exact model, size, firmness and all.
Does Winkbeds offer an extended warranty?
No, Winkbeds does not offer an extended warranty since their mattresses are already backed by a lifetime warranty.
Although some mattress manufacturers give you the option of purchasing an extended warranty, it does not apply to Winkbeds mattresses. There’s no need to extend the coverage period since the warranty will be in effect for the full period of your ownership and use of your Winkbed mattress.
