Not another pillow”, you might say. But hear me out. We’ve all heard of zero-gravity beds by now… but zero-gravity pillows? Nuzzle claims to be a NASA-inspired pillow that gives you the feeling of weightlessness while you sleep, no matter your sleeping position. But does it really work? Read our review to find out.

Cons

  • Not enough loft for strict side sleepers
  • May compress too much over time

Our experience with the My Nuzzle Pillow

For its price point, the Nuzzle pillow does what it says it will do, which is provide a high level of support for your head and neck, particularly if you’re a strict back or stomach sleeper.

Ethan testing out the Nuzzle pillow…can you tell he likes it?

Claiming to take inspiration from NASA, the Nuzzle features gel nano-coils as its pillow fill instead of foam or down alternative, which provides a ‘zero-gravity’ feel while still providing enough support so that your neck or spine won’t feel compromised, whether you sleep on your stomach or your back.

The Nuzzle pillow also features a cool-to-the-touch phase change material as its pillow cover, which helps dissipate body heat through the night. This, plus the fact that the Nuzzle pillow doesn’t contain any heat-retentive foam, makes for a very cooling pillow.

You also get two different firmness levels with the Nuzzle pillow; a medium and a soft. This allows you to tinker around with the pillow’s firmness level to get the right firmness for your preferred sleeping position.

The only thing I didn’t like about the Nuzzle is that it loses its loft pretty quickly, which results in you needing to fluff it up often. This could be an issue for strict side sleepers.

Comfort Test

We rate the Nuzzle pillow a 7 out of 10 when it comes to comfort.

The nano-coil technology in the Nuzzle adapts to the contours of your head, neck, and shoulders; offering both support and pressure relief, while also providing just the right amount of loft for your preferred sleeping position.

Like I mentioned previously, the pillow features two different firmness levels which you can customize to be either softer or firmer. While the Nuzzle pillow is suitable for most sleeper types, strict side sleepers might find its loft to be a bit lacking.

Cooling Test

We rate the Nuzzle pillow an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to temperature regulation.

This is where the Nuzzle pillow really shines.

While phase change material might sound like some avant-garde marketing speak, the Nuzzle really does feel cool to the touch and stays that way throughout the night. The fact that the Nuzzle does not really contain any man-made foam (which is the number one suspect when it comes to heat retention) helps MASSIVELY.

Who it’s best for

The Nuzzle pillow is best for back and stomach sleepers although, technically, the pillow is customizable to suit any sleeping position.

Stack of Nuzzle pillows
I think back and stomach sleepers in particular will love this pillow.

I just find that the Nuzzle pillow’s loft compresses and goes low (way too low) over time for it to offer the right amount of support for those who sleep predominantly on their sides. But YMMV.

Construction and Materials

The fill is made up of 100% proprietary fibers that feature nano-coils, while the pillow cover is made up of 300-count 100% cotton infused with phase change material. It also has a coil zipper.

The pillow cover is machine washable.

Durability

We rate the Nuzzle pillow a 7 out of 10 when it comes to durability.

I find the Nuzzle pillow to be pretty well-made with high quality materials… except for one thing – I think the zipper is a little flimsy.

Materials used in the Nuzzle pillow
The zipper is a notable weak point in an otherwise high-quality pillow…

If you’re going to be moving the layers around often, you might find that to be a problem. Other than that on small issue, the Nuzzle pillow should last you a good amount of time, especially with proper pillow care and maintenance.

Conclusion

It’s pretty rare to find zero gravity pillows that ACTUALLY work, but in my opinion the Nuzzle has it down pat.

Offering not just zero gravity comfort and support, the pillow is also extremely cooling which is which is why it’s my number one choice when it comes to cooling pillows.

The Nuzzle pillow is best for back and stomach sleepers as it helps them achieve proper spinal alignment. If you’re a side sleeper, you may want to look elsewhere though since the loft isn’t the best.
