Not in the mood to read the 10,000 word strong (I kid, I kid, don’t come after me Nolah) warranty for your new Nolah mattress? We get it. Reading the fine print can be tedious so we’ve combed through it all to give you the full lowdown on the Nolah mattress warranty.

How the Nolah mattress warranty works

Once you purchase a new mattress from Nolah, the warranty kicks in as soon as you make the mattress purchase.

All Nolah mattresses, including the Nolah Original Hybrid and the Nolah Evolution 15, come backed by a lifetime warranty that’s pro-rated after a certain amount of time.

The warranty covers any manufacturing defects as well as mattress cover faults and premature mattress sag.

Although Nolah’s mattress warranty does say lifetime, it is a lifetime limited warranty.

This essentially means that there are conditions that must be met as time goes by but we will get into that more down below.

Nolah also offers what they call their “Don’t Lose Sleep” option that allows the customer to keep the original mattress and also be able to purchase another mattress for a fraction of the price, depending on the length of time that the original mattress has been with them.

What the warranty covers

The Nolah mattress warranty covers the following:

  • Visible indentations greater than 1 inch not caused by normal wear and tear due to proper and regular use.
  • Defects in mattress materials used such as torn seams seen immediately after unboxing.
  • Defects in craftsmanship.
  • Tears and discoloration in the Nolah mattress cover seen immediately after unboxing and before any use.

Terms and conditions

Like any other online mattress warranty and every product warranty for that matter, Nolah has the following terms and conditions in place for their lifetime limited warranty:

  • From the time of purchase up to two years, Nolah will replace your defective mattress at absolutely no charge to you.
  • From year 3 to 10, Nolah will completely repair and/or re-cover your defective mattress with no charges except for a flat fee of $99 each way for transportation.
  • From year 11 to 25, you would then need to pay the pro-rated replacement charge for a replacement mattress. The pro-rated charge will be 50% of the original purchase price of the mattress.
  • For year 25 and beyond, you would need to pay the pro-rated replacement charge of 60% for the replacement mattress.
  • Nolah will honor the warranty only if a proper bed frame or foundation is used that is substantial enough to support the mattress and its users.
  • Exceeding the weight limit depending on mattress size will void the warranty.
  • Only the original purchaser is entitled to make a warranty claim.
  • The Nolah mattress comes with a 120 night sleep trial period that starts from the date of delivery. The trial period is covered by Nolah’s return policy.
  • The mattress law tag must be attached to the original mattress. Missing law tags will void your mattress warranty.

Exclusions

You will not be able to make a Nolah mattress warranty claim if:

  • The mattress has been found to be utilized in commercial use (this includes AirBNBs).
  • The indentations are caused by normal wear and tear as well as those that are less than one inch.
  • The wrong bed frame or foundation has been used.
  • The mattress is stained, filthy and has damages caused by outside sources (such as liquid damage) and improper storage and use.
  • The mattress cover has been removed.
  • The weight limit has been exceeded.
  • The mattress firmness has changed slightly over time (this is normal).
  • You are allergic to one or more components in the mattress.
  • The mattress has not been removed from its box within 30 days of receiving it.
  • The mattress has been sent to you complementarily.

How long does the Nolah warranty last?

The Nolah mattress warranty lasts as long as the mattress is used for however long you intend to use it.

Bear in mind that the terms and conditions of pro-rated replacement charges will be implemented within the set time frame.

Although their mattresses can last a very long time with proper care unlike some online mattress brands, a few consumers have some complaints about Nolah.

The Mulberry 10-year protection plan covers damages not covered by Nolah’s standard warranty. Examples of this are tears, burns and punctures. It also covers stains from pets, food, makeup and bodily fluids.
