The return process for the Nolah mattress is pretty streamlined but if you’re still a little lost, here’s a handy dandy but very comprehensive primer for you. You can thank us when you get the full refund.
How the Nolah Mattress Return Policy works
Each Nolah mattress – no matter the variant – comes with a 120 night trial period.
At any time within that sleep trial period (but only after the 30-day break-in period), you can initiate the return process and refund process by contacting the customer service team but I’m getting way ahead of myself here.
Nolah’s sleep trial period begins the day you receive your mattress.
After that, Nolah recommends a 30-day break-in period (as most online mattress brands do) to let your body adjust to the mattress.
If after the break-in period, you feel that the Nolah mattress isn’t the one, then you can then submit a request to return.
We’re breaking it down further for you below.
Starting the return process
First of all, you need to submit a request to return by contacting Nolah’s customer service team via email or through the email form on Nolah’s official website.
It is important to bear in mind that Nolah does not accept return requests through phone or their live chat function – only via email.
Once your return request has been received, a representative from Nolah’s customer service team will reach out to you to walk you through the entire process.
Once your return request has been approved, Nolah will then arrange for your Nolah mattress to picked up at a time that’s most convenient for you. Nolah uses a third party logistics partner for returned mattresses.
A $99 flat fee will be deducted from your full refund will cover pick-up and transportation. This flat fee is non-negotiable.
On the day of the pick-up, Nolah’s customer service will advise you on what to do with the mattress depending on your location. Usually, they ask you to leave the unboxed mattress outside your door and the logistics team will do the rest.
Once Nolah has confirmed and received the pick-up receipt, a full refund (minus the $99 fee of course) will be issued to the original mode of payment you made when you first purchased the mattress. You will also receive a refund notification via email.
So what happens to the returned mattresses, you might ask?
Depending on where you live and your state laws, the mattress will be donated to local charities or a mattress recycling program. Don’t worry, it won’t end up in a landfill, we can assure you that.
Return timeframe
Nolah’s return timeframe corresponds with their sleep trial period. That means 120 days, no more, no less.
If you fail to initiate the return process within that 120 day period – even if you are just a day late – then you are no longer eligible for any mattress returns or refunds.
How long does it take to receive a refund from Nolah
It takes around 5 to 7 working days for a refund to be processed for a returned mattress.
The refund is then returned to the original mode of payment that you used when you purchased the Nolah mattress.
Return fees
As we’ve mentioned above, a shipping and transportation fee of $99 is deducted from your full refund amount.
This amount is non-negotiable, no ifs, and or buts about it, no matter the mattress model. It applies to the Nolah Evolution 15, the Nolah Original Hybrid, and any other mattress the company sells.
Exclusions
There are a few exclusions when it comes to returning a Nolah mattress, despite their generous return policy.
- The product must be located in the United States, excluding any U.S. territories.
- Only the original purchaser is allowed to file a return request.
- Return requests received after the 120 night sleep trial period will not be honoured.
- Failure to schedule a pickup date within 45 days of receiving an approved return request will void your eligibility to return the mattress.
- Only one return per product type can be returned within one household. That means if you’ve got 2 or more Nolah mattresses or more and you want to return them all, you can only return one.
- Nolah allows customers to opt out of the 120 night trial period for additional savings. If you do then you are not eligible to file any return requests – you still have the lifetime limited warranty, don’t worry.
Which Nolah products can be returned
Every product that Nolah offers, including mattresses, are eligible for returns.
This includes the following:
- Bed frames
- Bedding such as pillows, blankets and sheets
- Bed accessories such as mattress toppers, mattress protectors and mattress pads

You get a 120 day trial period with Nolah mattresses.
Like other online mattress brands though, Nolah recommends a 30 day break-in period for your body to adjust to the mattress as well as its firmness level.
Depending on your sleep position and body type, a new mattress needs a little breaking in for you to reap its full benefits. This not only applies to Nolah mattresses but every other mattress brand as well.
If you are happy with your mattress purchase within that 120 night sleep trial then you keep the mattress. If not, then you must return the mattress within the same timeframe.
How long is the Nolah Mattress warranty?
Nolah offers a lifetime limited warranty for all of their mattresses.
Every Nolah mattress, including the Nolah Signature, comes backed by a lifetime warranty that’s non-prorated for the first 2 years.
All the corresponding years, a fee is then charged for shipping and handling as well as replacement charges that goes up every 5 years.
FAQs
A regular mattress’ lifespan is usually around 7-10 years. Higher end mattress brands can last up to 20 years. The Nolah mattress falls in between those two categories.
Nolah Technologies definitely honors their return policy. They would not be deemed a good online mattress brand if they didn’t. There are some complaints about Nolah, but this isn’t one of them.
