But what if you find that it’s not for you and you want to return your Casper mattress? Buying a mattress online is very convenient but the return process can be somewhat daunting. But as always, we’ve got your back.
How the Casper mattress return policy works
Casper’s return policy and process is very straightforward. As long as you’re within the 100 day trial period, you get a full refund when you return a mattress.
Like most bed in a box brands, Casper mattress has a free trial period of 100 days wherein you can try out your new mattress to find out whether it’s the right fit for you.
Mattress trial period lengths differ and Casper has one of the most substantial trial periods when it comes to online mattresses. Within these 100 days, you are entitled to free mattress returns.

To initiate a return with Casper mattress, you can file a return request through either the help page on Casper’s website, email them or you can contact their customer service team.
Your Casper mattress does not have to be rolled up in its original packaging, don’t worry.
The customer experience team will work with you to arrange a pickup through a local charity or recycling partner in your area. The refund process begins once the returned mattress has been received by either local charities or recycling partners that you and Casper have agreed upon.
Bear in mind that refunds will be credited in the form of your original payment method when you first made your Casper purchase.
Note: If your mattress is unopened and still in its original packaging then Casper will arrange a free UPS pickup.
The Casper return policy also stipulates that the mattress you are returning must be in donatable condition. Used mattresses may have some signs of normal wear but should they find that a returned mattress has been tampered with, used incorrectly, stained and/or the mattress tag is missing then Casper has the right to refuse both a return and a refund.
Return window
Casper’s return window falls within the 100 night trial period that Casper offers with their mattresses. Failure to return your Casper mattress within this time frame may result in Casper rejecting your refund request.
Casper also has a 30 night adjustment period that they recommend you follow before deciding on returning a mattress. It takes around 30 days for one’s body to get accustomed to a new mattress, regardless of brand.
But of course you can return a mattress at any time within the 100 night trial.
How long it takes to receive your refund
Once Casper has confirmed receipt of your returned mattress, you’ll receive a full refund within two to three weeks.
If you purchased your Casper mattress online and you’re based in either Hawaii or Alaska, Casper will also cover the shipping costs incurred along with the full refund.
Return fees
When Casper says free returns, they do mean FREE returns.
You have nothing to pay when you initiate a return request. However, this may only apply to Casper mattresses and not when you return smaller items such as dog beds and accessories.
Exclusions
Your Casper mattress must be in good condition for it to be accepted for a return and refund. During the return process, Casper may ask for photos of the mattress to confirm its condition. If it is found to be defective or tampered with, Casper has the right to refuse a refund.
Always ensure that the mattress tag is intact and you have an original copy of the invoice or receipt.
Can you exchange a Casper mattress for a new one
If you would like to exchange your Casper mattress for a new one, this would not fall under Casper’s return policy but through the Casper mattress warranty.
Casper mattresses are backed by a 10 year warranty.
You will be required to provide proof of original purchase date along with receipt. You’ll also be required to cover any shipping charges.
If you would like to exchange your mattress for a new one and it is within the warranty period, contact customer service to initiate the return and exchange process.
Is it possible to return a Casper mattress after the trial period
If you have passed the hundredth night mark, you will be ineligible to request for a return and refund of your Casper mattress.
You may, however, request a new mattress in exchange of your old one which now falls under Casper’s warranty.
Always make sure to keep track of the date you purchased your Casper mattress. The trial period begins when you receive it.
