Why it’s the best
Lots of people want their products – including mattresses – to be natural and organic.
Luckily the Birch Natural comes armed to the teeth with all the certifications that matter making it legit LEGIT.
But the organic bona fides and lifetime warranty aren’t the only thing we like about it.
The Birch Natural is cooling, pressure-relieving, and good for all sleeper types including heavier-set sleepers. That makes it an all-rounder in my book.
One more thing of note is its edge support, which is pretty outstanding; allowing you to utilize more of the mattress surface.
It isn’t all sunshine and rainbows unfortunately – because of its more responsive (read: bouncier) construction, you will feel every movement your partner makes if you share a bed.

Birch Natural Performance
The Birch Natural is a 6.5 on the mattress firmness scale, which gives it a medium-firm feel. This makes it suitable for all sleeper types.
Because it’s a hybrid mattress with a coil support core, it’s great for heavyweight people.
We rate the Birch Natural a 7 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
While the mattress is good for most sleeper types, some lightweight side sleepers in particular may find it to be a little firm, hence why we knocked a point off. But it still provides more than enough comfort and pressure relief for everyone else.
We rate the Birch Natural a 9.5 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
Pure latex is naturally cooling and hypoallergenic. Combined with the mattress’ coil unit, it makes for a very cool sleeping experience. If you’re a hot sleeper: this is the mattress for you.
We rate the Birch Natural a 6 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
The combination of latex and a robust coil unit makes for a very bouncy mattress. You will feel every movement your partner makes if you share a bed.
We rate the Birch Natural an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
The mattress contains reinforced edge coils. Aside from not feeling like you’re going to roll off the edge of the bed, you also get to sleep on more of the mattress surface.

#2. Durable Mattress

Pros
- Flippable design
- Great for couples
- Supports back and joints
- Relieves pressure points
Cons
- Not suitable for hot sleepers
- Poor edge support
Why it’s one of the best
Durable Mattress is a flippable mattress. This two-sided design actually helps you to extend the lifespan of your mattress, and that alone is reason enough for it to be on this list.
The included lifetime warranty is just icing on the cake.
But of course, there are more reasons why I like it.
There’s its motion isolation which is near perfect – no surprises there, it is an all-foam mattress after all. You also get to choose between three different firmness levels, so there’s something for everyone.
The only thing I didn’t like about Durable Mattress is its edge support which is pretty much nonexistent.
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 14 inches |
| Firmness levels | Soft, Medium, Firm |
| Materials | Cooling cover, high density quilted foam, pressure relief foam, HD transition support foam, pocketed steel coils, edge coils |
| Free trial period | 100 nights |
| Warranty length | Lifetime |
| Shipping | Free |
| Certification | CertiPUR-US |
Durable Mattress Performance
You get to choose between three different firmness options: soft, medium and firm.
The soft version is best for side sleepers. The medium version works well for all sleeper types. The firm version is best for those who sleep on their backs or stomachs.
The mattress features an all-foam construction which means it won’t be able to provide heavier-set sleepers with the extra support they need.
We rate Durable Mattress an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
The mattress contains multiple layers (including proprietary memory foam alternatives) that I found to be comfortable and pressure-relieving. It feels much better than most basic memory foam mattresses on the market.
We rate Durable Mattress a 6 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
Manmade foam is notorious for heat retention and unfortunately, this mattress has not escaped the curse. I definitely do not recommend it if you sleep very hot.
We rate Durable Mattress a 9.5 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
Most, if not all, all-foam mattresses perform pretty well when it comes to deadening cross-mattress movement. This one is legitimately one of the best I’ve ever tried. I barely felt any motion transfer when I tried the mattress out with a partner.
We rate Durable Mattress a 6 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
The mattress does not contain reinforced edge coils. As you can imagine, the edge support on it is pretty weak. You will find yourself rolling off the edge of the bed.

#3. Bear Natural

Pros
- Suitable for couples
- Good for all sleeper types
- Responsive and pressure relieving
- Naturally hypoallergenic
Cons
- Edge support is average
- May be too soft for some
35% off coupon code: SLEEPLINE35
Why it’s one of the best
If you’re on the hunt for a clean and green mattress that’s also a bit more affordable than most other organic mattresses on the market, the Bear Natural is your best bet.
Made from sustainably-sourced materials, the Bear Natural is fully vegan, making it a safe choice for those who prefer not to have any animal by-products or materials in their mattresses.
The coil support core offers tons of support, so I can definitely recommend this one if you suffer from back or joint pain.
And, of course, it also comes with lifetime warranty protection.
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 13 inches |
| Firmness levels | Medium Soft |
| Materials | Organic cotton cover, Talalay latex foam, proprietary foam, individually wrapped coils, high density polyfoam |
| Free trial period | 120 nights |
| Warranty length | Lifetime |
| Shipping | Free |
| Certification | GOLS, GOTS |
Bear Natural Performance
The Bear Natural sits on a 4.5 on the mattress firmness scale giving it a medium-soft feel.
This mattress firmness is best for side sleepers as well as some combination sleepers. I would not recommend it for strict stomach or back sleepers at all as it will cause your hips to dip into the mattress (causing issues in the long run).
We rate the Bear Natural mattress a 9.5 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
The main comfort layer is made up of premium Talalay latex that feels very plush, which provided a lot of pressure point relief as well as just enough compression for my achy back.
We rate the Bear Natural mattress a 7.5 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
Pure latex such is naturally cooling and does not retain any heat. Even without any other actively cooling materials, I found the Bear Natural to sleep pretty cool.
We rate the Bear Natural mattress an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
It’s true, some latex hybrid mattresses can be springy and bouncy, but this one does a solid job at absorbing any motion transfer, making it a good choice for couples.
We rate the Bear Natural mattress a 7 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
Although not the best, the edge support is not the worst either – I’d say it’s just about average.

#4. Saatva Classic

Pros
- Suitable for all sleeper types
- Good for couples
- Comes in multiple firmness options
- Treated with an antimicrobial treatment
Cons
- Edge support is too firm
- Expensive
Why it’s one of the best
Except for its more premium price point, I’d be happy to argue that the Saatva Classic is a near perfect mattress. You get what you pay for and then some.
Made from premium high-quality materials including a chiropractor-approved gel-infused memory foam and 14.5 gauge recycled steel coils, the Saatva Classic does not delve into any of the newfangled (yes, I am old) trends that a lot of online mattress brands experiment with – in fact, it sticks to a more classic, streamlined approach with its construction and you know what, classic works.
Sadly, the Saatva Classic is so good that its good became a little bad – the edge support is too firm to the point that it makes me a little uncomfortable to sleep close to the edge.
Saatva’s lifetime warranty is solid, and they make it easy to file a claim (unlike many other brands who make you jump through hoops first).
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 11.5 inches, 14.5 inches |
| Firmness levels | Medium Soft, Medium, Medium Firm |
| Materials | Organic cotton cover, Euro pillow top, gel-infused memory foam, 14.5 gauge recycled steel coils, high-density foam rails, dual coil base layer |
| Free trial period | 365 nights |
| Warranty length | Lifetime |
| Shipping | Free |
| Certification | GOTS, CertiPUR-US |
Saatva Classic Performance
You get to choose between three different firmness options when you buy the Saatva Classic: medium-soft, medium and medium-firm.
The medium-soft is best for those who sleep mostly on their sides. The medium version is good for all sleeper types, including combination sleepers who switch positions frequently. The firm version is best for those who sleep on their backs or stomachs.
Since it’s a hybrid mattress, the Saatva Classic is good for heavier-set people.
We rate the Saatva Classic a 9.5 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
Technically speaking, there are only two comfort layers – a Euro top quilted top layer and a gel-infused memory foam layer – but just two is enough. I found that this mattress offered comfort and pressure point relief no matter what position I slept in.
We rate the Saatva Classic a 9.5 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
Even without any actively- cooling materials, the mattress still sleeps very cool, making it an excellent choice if you tend to sleep hot.
We rate the Saatva Classic an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
I didn’t feel any motion transfer when I tried this mattress out with a partner. Whatever Saatva’s doing with their coil unit: it’s working.
We rate the Saatva Classic a 7.5 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
This rating would have been higher had the edge support been just a little softer and a little bit lower (literally). In the classic case of too much of a good thing, the mattress’ edges are raised just a little too high and are a little too firm to be comfortable.

#5. Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid

Pros
- Supports back and joints
- Fiberglass-free
- Fully organic
- Great for couples
Cons
- Medium version may be too firm for petite side sleepers
Free mattress protector coupon code: SLEEPLINE
Why it’s one of the best
Right out of the bat, the first thing that stands out about the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid mattress is that it’s naturally cooling and hypoallergenic, making it a good choice for those who suffer from chronic allergies.
Of course, there’s always a bad side and in this case it’s this: I didn’t really like that both the medium and medium-firm skew a little more towards the firmer end. The firmness descriptions on the website aren’t accurate.
So keep that in mind when you place your order.
The Sweet Zzz is also backed up by a serious lifetime warranty.
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 9 inches, 10 inches, 13 inches |
| Firmness levels | Medium Soft, Medium Firm, Firm |
| Materials | Organic cotton quilted cover, organic New Zealand Calmera wool, organic Dunlop latex, micro-coils, individually wrapped tempered steel coils, organic cotton and wool blend base layer |
| Free trial period | 100 nights |
| Warranty length | Lifetime |
| Shipping | Free |
| Certification | GOLS, GOTS |
Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid Performance
You get to choose between three different firmness options: soft, medium and firm.
The soft version is great for side sleepers.
The medium and medium-firm versions are a little too firm thought, so it’s best to manage your expectations, especially if you sleep on your stomach or your back.
We rate the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid a 7.5 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
This would have had a higher rating had it been a tad softer (medium version).
We rate the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
Pure latex is naturally cooling and when combined with the coil unit makes for a very cool sleeping experience (even if you tend to sleep very hot).
We rate the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
For a mattress with both springs and latex foam, it does a great job at absorbing motion transfer. I barely felt any movement when I tried the mattress out with a partner.
We rate the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
The mattress contains reinforced edges, giving the entire perimeter extra support.

#6. Glacier Original Hybrid

Pros
- Good for back and stomach sleepers
- Cooling
- Offers responsive support
- Fiberglass-free
Cons
- Slight motion transfer
- Not great for strict side sleepers
Why it’s one of the best
The Glacier Original Hybrid really does live up to its name – it’s one of the most-cooling mattresses on this list. If you’re a hot sleeper, then the Glacier Original Hybrid should definitely be on your radar.
The lifetime warranty is just icing on the cake.
With its medium-firm feel, the Glacier Original Hybrid is best if you sleep on your back and stomach as the mattress helps provide you with extra lumbar support.
In the same vein, being a medium-firm means the Glacier Original Hybrid won’t be able to provide side sleepers with the pressure relief they need.
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 12 inches |
| Firmness levels | Medium Firm |
| Materials | Cooling comfort cotton cover, graphite-infused memory foam, ARCFlow ventilated gel foam, individually wrapped coils, high density foam |
| Free trial period | 365 nights |
| Warranty length | Lifetime |
| Shipping | Free |
| Certification | CertiPUR-US |
Glacier Original Hybrid Performance
The Glacier Original Hybrid sits on a 7.5 on the mattress firmness scale giving it a medium-firm feel that skirts the line towards pretty firm.
This means it will only be able to cater to those who sleep on their backs and stomachs.
Since it’s a hybrid mattress, it’s great for heavier-set sleepers.
We rate the Glacier Original Hybrid a 7.5 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
The mattress features multiple comfort foam layers that provide ample pressure relief as well as more responsive support to those who sleep on their backs or stomachs.
We rate the Glacier Original Hybrid an 8 out 10 when it comes to cooling.
It should come as no surprise that it sleeps very cool; with the multiple actively cooling materials that it contains such as graphite-infused foam, cooling gel-infused memory foam, and a cooling cover.
We rate the Glacier Original Hybrid a 6 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
I have to say that I found the motion isolation to be less than ideal. You will feel every movement that your partner makes.
We rate the Glacier Original Hybrid a 7.5 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
While not the best, the edge support is passable allowing you to sleep on more of the mattress surface.

- Can be a bit pricey
Why it’s one of the best
Who is going to say no to a 5-star hotel quality sleeping experience?
I know I won’t.
And that’s exactly what you get with the OG WinkBed mattress.
Plush and luxurious, the WinkBed features a thick Euro pillow top that honestly feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud.
Another thing I liked a lot about the WinkBed mattress is that it comes in not just three firmness options but four, which includes a Plus version that is specially made for heavier-set sleepers.
The WinkBed is covered by a lifetime warranty as well.
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 13.5 inches |
| Firmness levels | Soft, Luxury Firm, Firm, Plus |
| Materials | Tencel cover, pillow top, gel-infused comfort foam, pocketed coils |

The WinkBed Performance
You get to choose between four different options with the WinkBed mattress: soft, luxury firm, firm and plus.
The soft version is best for those who sleep only on their sides while the luxury version can accommodate all sleeper types including combination sleepers. The firm version is best for strict back and stomach sleepers and the plus version is made specifically for heavier-set people.
We rate the WinkBed mattress an 8 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
There are only three layers, but they are more than enough to provide pressure relief, contouring and support no matter your preferred sleeping position.
We rate the WinkBed mattress a 7 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
The thick coil unit of the mattress is enough to provide continuous airflow throughout the entire mattress, which helps with heat retention.
We rate the WinkBed mattress a 7 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
The WinkBed’s pillow top and comfort foam are doing all the heavy lifting when it comes to absorbing cross-mattress movement. I did not feel a lot of motion transfer when I tried the mattress out with a partner.
We rate the WinkBed mattress an 8 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
The mattress features what WinkBeds refers to as ‘extra edge coils’, which are essentially a thicker band of outer coils surrounding the main coil unit. When I tried it out I found that the edge support was extremely good. You won’t find yourself rolling off the edge of the bed.

#8. Puffy Royal

Pros
- Suitable for all sleeper types
- Plush and luxurious
- Cooling
- Pressure relieving
Cons
- Not the best edge support
- Expensive
Why it’s one of the best
The Puffy Royal is a hybrid mattress that I found gives sleepers not only the support that an innerspring mattress can give but also that cradled-in feel that memory foam lovers look for.
It’s like you get the best of both worlds.
Another thing of note with the Puffy Royal is that practically every layer of the mattress consists of actively-cooling materials, making it one of the most cooling mattresses I have ever tried.
Sadly though, the edge support leaves much to be desired.
And, just like every other mattress on this list, it comes with a lifetime warranty so you can send it back if there are any issues.
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 14 inches |
| Firmness levels | Medium |
| Materials | Cool Touch quilted cloud cover, blended wool filling, Climate Fiber layer, gel-infused cooling foam, Reflexive memory foam, Cloud Comfort relief foam, Cloud Sculpting technology foam, foam encased coils, Firm Core support foam, gripped base |

Puffy Royal Performance
The Puffy Royal sits at a 5 on the mattress firmness scale giving it a true medium feel.
This firmness level is good for all sleeper types.
Since the Puffy Royal is a hybrid with a coil support core, it’s also great for heavier-set sleepers.
We rate the Puffy Royal a 9 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
I felt like I was sleeping on memory foam but without too much of the sinkage. It’s a very comfortable mattress.
We rate the Puffy Royal an 8 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
The mattress contains multiple actively-cooling materials such as blended wool, heat-resistant fibers, and cooling foam to help do away with heat retention. I’m a very hot sleeper and I slept very comfortable, with little-to-no sweating throughout the night.
We rate the Puffy Royal a 9 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
I literally did not feel any sort of motion transfer when I tried the mattress out with a partner.
We rate the Puffy Royal a 6.5 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
Here’s where the mattress fails – even with reinforced edges, I found myself rolling off the edge of the bed with practically no support.

Pros
- Cooling
- Best for back and stomach sleepers
- Helps with proper spinal alignment
- Good for back pain
Cons
- Not good for side sleepers
- Poor motion isolation
5% off coupon code: SLEEPLINE5%OFF
Why it’s one of the best
People who sleep only on their backs and stomachs don’t normally get a lot of love in the mattress market, but the Origin Adapt Hybrid is an exception.
With its firm feel, the Origin Adapt Hybrid provides back and stomach sleepers with not only lumbar support but also pressure point relief.
Another I quite liked about the Origin Adapt Hybrid is that it contains cooling tech in all of its comfort foam layers. If you sleep hot, this is a great brand to choose.
And yes, because it’s a firmer mattress, it’s unfortunately not the best for side sleepers.
Specs at a glance
| Thickness levels | 12 inches |

Bear in mind that this rating only applies to strict back and stomach sleepers.
The mattress features a unique orthopedic ‘HexaGrid’ that I found helped support my back and joints.
We rate the Origin Adapt Hybrid an 8.5 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
One of the rare mattress brands to combine both latex foam and memory foam in one mattress, it also contains organic wool (which is temperature regulating) and a cooling cover which helps dissipate any heat.
We rate the Origin Adapt Hybrid a 6 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
For some reason, even with its multiple foam layers and firmer surface, the mattress felt pretty bouncy and I did feel a lot of motion transfer when I tried it out with a partner.

The mattress features reinforced edge coils and while it does give some form of support it was not as good as I had expected.

How we chose these mattresses
All the mattress brands on this list have been contacted to ensure that the mattresses we have chosen all come with a lifetime warranty.
A good mattress offers a balanced mix of comfort, support, and durability and we chose mattresses that excel in all three.
To determine a mattress’s performance, we also considered factors such as firmness, pressure relief, responsiveness, temperature regulation, motion isolation, and edge support.
And on top of all that, we made sure to look for mattresses that are backed by safety and sustainability certifications.
Here’s a brief description of each factor we considered while making this list:
- Comfort – Comfort is pretty subjective. That’s why we look for mattresses that are comfortable for all body types and sleeping positions.
- Support – In terms of support, we look for mattresses that can hold at least 800 lbs. without sagging prematurely. Ample support is also essential for keeping a sleeper’s spine in proper alignment.
- Durability – A durable mattress is one that can provide a consistent level of comfort and support for a minimum of 10 years (industry standard). We tested the mattresses to make sure that they could support lightweight sleepers all the way to 500 lb. people without comprising structural integrity. The type of mattress plays a major role in its durability.
- Firmness – Each person has unique firmness preferences depending on their body type, weight and preferred sleeping position. For that reason, we look for mattresses that are medium to medium-firm which is the firmness that fits the widest variety of sleepers. We also search for mattresses that come in multiple firmness levels to give consumers multiple options to choose from.
- Pressure relief – Pressure relief refers to the ability of a mattress to redistribute your body weight to prevent pressure from building up on one spot. To test for pressure relief, we check if a mattress can contour to our bodies and evenly distribute body weight.
- Responsiveness – This refers to how quickly a mattress snaps back to its original shape after pressure is released from it. We look for mattresses that allow for ease of movement and don’t give us a stuck-in-the-mud feeling.
- Temperature regulation – A mattress with good temperature regulation should not trap body heat. We look for mattresses with designs that promote air circulation and beds that contain cooling materials such as gel, copper or graphite infusions. Breathable covers are also a big plus in this area.
- Motion isolation – A mattress with good motion isolation is one that prevents motion on one side from transferring to the other side of the bed. This is especially important for those who sleep with fidgety partners.
- Edge support – This refers to how well the perimeter of a mattress can support weight. We test this by sleeping and sitting near the edge of the bed and measuring the degree of compression on the mattress.
- Certifications – We looked for mattresses that are backed by environmental certifications. Some of the certifications that we look out for are CertiPUR-US and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for all-foam beds, and GOTS and GOLS for organic mattresses.
Conclusion
Lifetime warranties give you the best bang for your buck and allows you to use your mattress for as long as is stipulated and agreed upon.
All the mattresses on this list have been carefully picked and chosen, not only for their lifetime warranties, but for their features and performance as well as longevity.
