The Tenzura is a budget brand that Egohome claims is modeled on high-end Stearns & Foster mattresses. It’s a bold claim. Can it really deliver a high-end, premium feel at this price point? Read on to find out what I think.

My experience with the Egohome Tenzura Luxury Hybrid Mattress
For a mattress at this price point, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the Egohome Tenzura.
The thing that I liked the most was how well-supported my back felt, which is why I think this mattress is really good for those who suffer from chronic back pain as well as those with lumbar issues.
For a mattress that contains thicker layers of foam, the Egohome Tenzura sleeps surprisingly cool – great news for hot sleepers on a budget.
The thing is though, Egohome describes it as a medium-plush but in reality, it feels more like a medium-firm, which can only comfortably sleep and support those who sleep on their stomachs and/or backs.
But for the most part, the mattress really does feel like a budget-friendly version of the Stearns and Foster it was ‘kinda-sorta’ based on and you know what, I ain’t mad about it.
Firmness
The Egohome website states that the Tenzura has a medium-plush firmness level (which would be around a 4 on the mattress firmness scale) but I actually found it to have more of a medium-firm feel (which is around a 6 on the scale).
Although a lot of medium-firm mattresses are good for all sleeper types including side sleepers and combination sleepers, the Eghome Tenzura leans a little too firm and will be best for back sleepers and stomach sleepers.
Also, since the Egohome Tenzura is a hybrid mattress, it can provide heavier-set people with the extra support they need.
Cooling Test
We rate the Egohome Tenzura mattress a 9 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
The mattress contains a copper gel-infused foam, a cooling gel-infused foam, and a Tencel cover that helps wick away heat. I think this mattress is an excellent choice for hot sleepers.
Motion Transfer Test
We rate the Egohome Tenzura mattress an 8 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
Though not the best when it comes to deadening cross-mattress movement, it’s certainly not the worst either.
I’d say you’ll only feel the tiniest amount of motion transfer if you share a mattress with a heavier-set partner and you’re also a light sleeper.
Edge Support Test
We rate the Egohome Tenzura mattress a 5 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
Ah, Tenzura, you were doing so well.
I have to say, the edge support is pretty much non-existent.
It was one of the worst I have ever tried.
You WILL find yourself rolling off the bed if you lay even remotely close to the edge.
Pressure Relief Test
We rate the Egohome Tenzura mattress an 8 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
Honestly, this rating would be higher if the Egohome Tenzura was a little softer (like they advertise) but if you’re a back or stomach sleeper then you’d definitely be getting more than enough pressure relief as well as targeted support.
Construction
There are five layers to the Egohome Tenzura mattress.
They come encased in a Tencel knit cover as well as a fiberglass-free inner cover that acts as a fire barrier.
The first layer is made up of Egohome’s very own AeroFusion foam – a copper gel-infused memory foam alternative that feels and acts just like traditional memory foam when it comes to comfort and compression… but does not leave you feeling stuck.
Next comes a layer of another one of Egohome’s proprietary foams called their Liquid CoolFlex foam – another memory foam alternative, but this one contains cooling gel that helps with temperature regulation.
Underneath that lies a layer of BraceSleeper comfort foam that provides extra support while also acting as a transition layer between the foam layers and the coil unit.
The coil unit of the Egohome Tenzura mattress is made up of individually-pocketed coils that provide targeted support while also helping with motion isolation.
The base layer is made up of high density foam that helps give stability and durability to the entire mattress.
The Egohome Tenzura is made entirely in the USA.
Durability
For a budget mattress, the Tenzura holds its own when it comes to the durability of its materials.
Although it won’t last you as long as a higher-end mattress will, it can still last you at least a good five years.

The Egohome Tenzura comes in six standard mattress sizes and comes in two different thicknesses: 12 inches and 14 inches.

First, you need to contact Egohome’s customer service team via email at support@egohome.com.
Once your return request has been approved, Egohome will then give you an address to return the mattress to.
You need to pack the item in the original packaging. Once packed, you need to ship it back to Egohome and yes, you will be shouldering the shipping fee.
Once Egohome confirms that they’ve received your mattress, you’ll receive your refund within five business days to the original payment method you used when you ordered it.
Warranty
Egohome offers a 10 year warranty for all of their mattresses.

But of course, no mattress is perfect; if you need a mattress with good edge support, look elsewhere.
