You’re a memory foam mattress fan, and you want to check out THE original memory foam bed manufacturer, Tempur-Pedic. Even today, they’re still among the very best memory foam mattresses on the market. Our team spent dozens of hours conducting performance tests to come up with the top five best Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Our Editor’s Choice is the Tempur-Pedic LuxeBreeze mattress.
Top 5 Best Tempur-Pedic Mattresses
#1. LuxeBreeze
Why it’s the overall best
Made with the newest and most advanced materials, the Luxebreeze is our overall best pick and is Tempur-Pedic’s latest addition to their mattress line.
Its cooling, motion isolation, and pressure relief stood out from the rest of the Tempur-Pedic beds during our testing.
It’s 13 inches tall, and it comes in both all-foam and hybrid versions with different firmness levels. It’s suitable for all sleeper types, and it’s one of the best memory foam mattresses that I’ve tested so far.
The Luxebreeze showed excellent results in all of our performance tests, except for the responsiveness category.
It’s also a very expensive, high-end mattress that might not be a viable option for budget shoppers.

Luxebreeze mattress performance
The Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze mattress comes in three firmness levels: Soft (4.5), Medium (5.5), and Firm (7).
The Soft and Firm models are all-foam beds, while the Medium model is a hybrid mattress. We recommend the Luxebreeze mattress for all sleeper types: back, side, stomach, and combination.
That being said, we do not recommend it for stomach sleepers who weigh over 300 lbs. We suggest opting for a firmer mattress that will keep your hips from bowing into the mattress.
The Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze got a 9.9 in our pressure relief test.
I felt exceptional body contouring and pressure relief while sleeping on the mattress. Its Pure Cool® Plus top comfort layer cradled my joints and provided a comfortable amount of sinkage for my shoulders and hips.
The Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze got a 9.1 in our responsiveness test.
This mattress gave us a bit of a stuck-in-the-mud feel due to its slow-moving memory foam layers. It’s not the best mattress for elderly people and those with limited mobility.
The Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze got a 9.7 in our cooling test.
I slept quite cool on the mattress and I didn’t experience any heat retention during my testing. Based on our results, it’s one of the coolest memory foam mattresses that we’ve slept on so far.
It does not trap body heat because it’s made with the highest-quality gel-infused memory foam, which acts as an effective heat-diffusing layer.
The Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze got a 9.8 in our motion isolation test.
Its cross-mattress motion transfer results were close to zero. It showed excellent motion isolation despite having a supportive coil system, which adds bounce and responsiveness to the mattress.
The Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze got a 9.4 in our edge support test.
It did not have the best edge support, but it wasn’t bad either. You might feel more sinkage if you’re a heavier than average, but overall it has decent edge support.
Couples should consider motion isolation and edge support when choosing a mattress, and the Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze delivers in both areas.
That being said, the Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze is a very expensive high-end mattress and it might not fit everyone’s budget. If you’re looking for a more affordable option, check out our article on mattresses similar to Tempur-Pedic.
Overall, the Tempur-Pedic Luxebreeze mattress garnered a performance rating of 9.6 out of 10.

#2. Adapt
Why it’s one of the best
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt mattress is our top pick for the best hybrid Tempur-Pedic mattress.
It sits right in the middle of the Tempur-Pedic mattress line in terms of materials and pricing.
It’s 11 inches tall, and it comes in both an all-foam and a hybrid model. It’s made with premium memory foam, and it has a medium-firm feel that’s suitable for all sleeper types.
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt did great in all our performance tests, except for the responsiveness category. It’s not the best mattress for people who prefer more bounce and responsiveness.

Adapt mattress performance
We gave the Tempur-Pedic Adapt mattress a 6 out of 10 on the mattress firmness scale.
We found it slightly softer than medium-firm, and it had a similar body-hugging memory foam feel to all Tempur-Pedic mattresses. That said, the hybrid version of the mattress was a bit firmer, at 6.5 out of 10.
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt mattress can accommodate most body types and sleeping positions.
It’s best suited for side and back sleepers who enjoy the body contouring feel of classic memory foam.
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt got a 9.6 in our pressure relief test.
We felt nice cushioning and comfort from the top memory foam comfort layer. It distributed my body weight evenly and I felt pressure relief on my lower back and on my shoulders and hips.
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt got a 9.2 in our responsiveness test.
We noticed a good amount of bounce from the hybrid model, but the all-foam version had a slower response to pressure. It took us a bit of effort to switch between sleeping positions on the all-foam model, but it was nothing major.
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt got a 9.3 in our cooling test.
I felt cool and fresh after sleeping overnight on the mattress. The Tempur-Material on the mattress has an open-cell structure that promotes extra airflow to prevent heat retention on the bed’s surface.
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt got a 9.5 in our motion isolation test.
Our testing showed minimal motion transfer on the hybrid version and close to zero motion transfer on the all-foam model. We recommend this mattress for those who sleep with restless partners or partners who tend to get in and out of bed at night.
The Tempur-Pedic Adapt got a 9.4 in our edge support test.
The edge support on the mattress is good. However, our plus-size tester did notice some compression when she slept near the edge of the bed.
Overall, the Tempur-Pedic Adapt mattress garnered a performance rating of 9.4 out of 10.

#3. ProAdapt
Why it’s one of the best
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt fits the most body types and sleeping styles out of all Tempur-Pedic’s mattresses.
It provides excellent pressure relief, and its top-notch motion-isolating properties make it a great mattress for couples.
It’s 12 inches tall, and it comes in all-foam and hybrid models. It’s also available in Soft, Medium, and Firm options, with the Medium version also coming in a supportive hybrid model.
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt showed great results in all our performance tests, and its only drawbacks are its lack of bounce and high price point.

ProAdapt mattress performance
We rated the Soft version a 4.5, the Medium version a 6, and the Firm version a 7 out of 10 on the mattress firmness scale.
The Medium version comes in both an all-foam and a hybrid model to give you an added option if you prefer a mattress with springs.
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt mattress is suitable for most sleepers, regardless of body weight and sleep position.
The Soft and Medium all-foam models work well for average-weight people, and the Medium hybrid and Firm models provide extra support for heavier sleepers including those who sleep on their stomachs.
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt got a 9.7 in our pressure relief test.
It has a similar feel as the Adapt mattress but it has a thicker Tempur-Material® comfort layer. I felt a bit more contouring and pressure relief on this mattress than the Adapt mattress.
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt got a 9.1 in our responsiveness test.
The dense memory foam layers give the mattress more contouring but also a slower response to pressure. I could use a bit more bounce from the mattress, but it is good enough if you’re someone who likes a slow-moving body-hugging feel.
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt got a 9.4 in our cooling test.
The mattress is made with high-quality open-cell memory foam which allows air to flow through its layers and keep the surface cool. The Medium hybrid model performed even better, in terms of cooling, because it features a supportive coil system which promotes airflow as well.
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt got a 9.6 in our motion isolation test.
We experienced minimal motion transfer when we slept on the mattress. The thick Tempur-material® layers were great at absorbing motion and keeping it on one side of the mattress.
The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt got a 9.5 in our edge support test.
The Medium hybrid and the Firm versions have great edge support. We felt well-supported even when we slept near the edge of the mattress. However, the Soft and Medium all-foam beds showed more compression as we sat and slept on the edge of the bed.
Overall, the Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt mattress garnered a performance rating of 9.5 out of 10.

#4. ProBreeze
Why it’s one of the best
The ProBreeze is our top pick for the best Tempur-Pedic mattress for couples.
It’s a well-rounded mattress that provides a great mix of comfort and support, as well as benefits like good motion isolation and edge support.
It’s 12 inches tall, and it comes in an all-foam as well as a hybrid version so you can choose what type of mattress you prefer. It has a medium-firm feel, and it’s the first mattress in the Tempur-Breeze collection.
The Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze excelled in all our performance tests, except for the responsiveness category. It’s also a pretty costly mattress, and it’s not the best choice if you’re not a fan of slow-moving memory foam.

ProBreeze mattress performance
Our team rated the Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze mattress a 6.5 out of 10 on the mattress firmness scale.
It’s a medium-firm bed, and we recommend it for all sleeper types and couples who like memory foam mattresses. It has a very slow-moving feel and it conforms to the shape of your body to alleviate any pressure or tension.
The Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze got a 9.8 in our pressure relief test.
Its top comfort layer is made of a premium pressure-relieving material that’s proprietary to Tempur-Pedic. I felt really nice pressure relief on my shoulders, lower back, and hips.
The Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze got a 9.2 in our responsiveness test.
We had to exert a little effort to switch positions on the mattress because the memory foam layers have slow response rates. If you’re a combination sleeper or someone with limited mobility, we recommend a slightly more responsive mattress similar to Tempur-Pedic.
The Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze got a 9.6 in our cooling test.
It’s touted as the second coolest mattress in the entire Tempur-Pedic line, and our test results back this claim. The bed’s advanced cooling cover and heat-dissipating foams kept me cool the whole night.
The Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze got a 9.7 in our motion isolation test.
We found it to have excellent motion isolation because it’s made with the highest-quality memory foam available. It’s a great mattress for couples who are looking for a bed with low to zero motion transfer.
The Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze got a 9.3 in our edge support test.
The mattress has decent edge support. It can hold up most sleepers, but it started to compress under loads of over 300 lbs.
Overall, the Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze mattress garnered a performance rating of 9.5 out of 10.

#5. Cloud
Why it’s one of the best
The Tempur-Pedic Tempur Cloud mattress is the most affordable (but still costly) mattress in the Tempur-Pedic line.
Despite being the brand’s most basic mattress, it’s still a high-quality memory foam mattress that’s better than most foam beds in the online mattress space.
It’s 10 inches tall, and it’s available in an all-foam and a hybrid version. It has a medium-firm feel, and it’s suitable for most sleepers and sleeping positions.
The Tempur-Pedic Cloud did great in most of our performance tests, but its cooling is not up to par with the other Tempur-Pedic mattresses.
In terms of price, Tempur-Pedic mattresses cost more than most online brands but the Tempur-Cloud is their cheapest option.

Cloud mattress performance
We gave the Tempur Cloud a 6.5 out of 10 on the mattress firmness scale.
It’s a medium-firm bed that fits most body types and sleeping positions. It has a classic memory foam feel, but it offers more support and pressure relief than cheaper memory foam beds.
The Tempur Cloud got a 9.5 in our pressure relief test.
I felt really comfortable sleeping on my side on the mattress. I didn’t feel any pressure buildup in my shoulders and hips. When I switched to back sleeping, I got some nice contouring and support around my lumbar region.
The Tempur Cloud got a 9 in our responsiveness test.
One downside with this mattress is its stuck-in-the-mud-feel when you try to switch from one position to the other. This is because it’s made with slow-moving Tempur material which sinks under your body weight and impedes movement.
The Tempur Cloud got a 9 in our cooling test.
I slept pretty much temperature-neutral on the mattress. However, sleepers who tend to overheat at night might need to look for a better cooling mattress. We suggest taking a look at the Bear Elite Hybrid mattress for better temperature regulation.
The Tempur Cloud got a 9.5 in our motion isolation test.
We noticed very low motion transfer on the mattress. It’s a good option if you sleep with a partner who frequently gets up at night or is just a restless sleeper.
The Tempur Cloud got a 9.2 in our edge support test.
The mattress has good edge support for a memory foam bed. I felt ample support when I moved towards the edge of the bed.
Overall, the Tempur Cloud mattress garnered a performance rating of 9.2 out of 10.

How we chose these mattresses
During our testing, we considered factors like price, firmness, comfort, temperature regulation, and durability.
Here’s a brief description of each factor we considered in this Tempur-Pedic mattress review:
- Durability – A good mattress should last between 7 to 10 years. We tested the materials used in each Tempur-Pedic mattress to see if they can continuously withstand heavy loads without compromising their structural integrity. Tempur beds last a very long time.
- Firmness – Every sleeper has their preferred level of firmness, whether it’s soft, medium, or firm. We prioritized Tempur-Pedic mattresses that can suit a wide variety of body types and sleeping positions. All Tempur-Pedic mattresses in the list are either medium-firm or have multiple firmness options.
- Temperature regulation – We specifically looked for the best cooling Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Your sleep can be affected by overheating or heat retention at night. That’s why we chose Tempur mattresses that have good temperature regulation and can at least maintain a temperature-neutral surface all night.
- Comfort – We selected Tempur-Pedic beds that offer just the right balance of comfort and support. We examined the materials and construction of each Tempur mattress, and we narrowed it down to those that excel in pressure relief and body contouring. Tempur-Pedic beds are also fiberglass-free.
- Price – We looked for Tempur-Pedic mattresses that offer great value and benefits for the price. We considered the longevity of each Tempur mattress to determine if it’s going to be a worthwhile investment for you. Durable or not, it still helps to rotate your Tempur beds every so often. Cleaning your mattress is also beneficial.
