Our experience with the Novilla Bliss Mattress
There’s only really one way to describe the Novilla Bliss mattress and that is like sleeping on a marshmallow.
A soft, fluffy marshmallow and we have to be honest – not a lot of people would like that. But on the other hand, quite a good number of people would love that too.
An all-foam mattress, the Novilla Bliss mattress features layers of proprietary memory foam layers that have different feels and functions such as a breathable wave foam that has grooves and waves that help with ventilation, pressure relief and support.
But since the Novilla Bliss is an all-foam mattress and a very soft one at that, it won’t be able to provide strict back and stomach sleepers as well as heavier-set individuals the extra support that they would need.
Firmness
On the mattress firmness scale, we rate the Novilla Bliss mattress at a 4 which is a medium soft. Medium soft mattresses are perfect for those who sleep strictly on their sides as well as those who suffer from chronic pain such as fibromyalgia.
But there’s also a huge caveat when it comes to very soft mattresses – it won’t be able to provide strict back and stomach sleepers with the right support for proper spinal alignment.
Also, since the Novilla Bliss mattress is an all-foam mattress, it also won’t be able to provide heavier-set individuals the extra support that they would need. A soft mattress would only give heavier-set sleepers issues in the long run because the softness would only cause them to sink into the mattress.
When it comes to long-term use and as a daily driver, we don’t really recommend the Novilla Bliss mattress for adults due to its inherent softness.
We would, however, recommend it for kids as well as a mattress for guest bedrooms.
Cooling Test
We rate the Novilla Bliss mattress a 4 out of 10 when it comes to cooling.
If you’re a hot sleeper, I’m telling you now to look elsewhere.
Although the memory foam layers in the Novilla Bliss mattress are proprietary, they are not infused with any actively cooling materials which allows the mattress to retain heat.
The Bamboo cover and charcoal foam layer didn’t really offer much in terms of temperature regulation. We do not recommend the Novilla mattress for hot sleepers.
Motion Transfer Test
We rate the Novilla Bliss mattress a 10 out of 10 when it comes to motion isolation.
All-foam mattresses, in general, are pretty good at absorbing any motion transfer and the Novilla Bliss mattress is probably one of the best ones we’ve tried when it comes to isolating any cross mattress movement, making it a good choice for those who share a bed with a partner or even a pet.
Edge Support Test
We rate the Novilla Bliss mattress a 6 out of 10 when it comes to edge support.
Although not the worst we’ve tried, the Novilla mattress is not the best either.
If you’re more on the heavier side, you might find the edge support on the Novilla mattress to be pretty poor but if you are of average or lighter weight, it wouldn’t really let you roll off the bed either.
Pressure Relief/Comfort Test
We rate the Novilla Bliss mattress a 7 out of 10 when it comes to comfort and pressure relief.
You can’t really go wrong with memory foam and even though the Novilla Bliss mattress isn’t quite Tempur-Pedic, it still does a very good job of providing both comfort and pressure relief.
The wave foam layer also provides contouring that’s akin to a mattress that has zoned support which helps a little with spinal alignment. We say a little and not a lot because hybrid mattresses, rather than all-foam mattresses, offer more in terms of zoned support.
Construction
There are 4 layers to the Novilla Bliss mattress. All these layers come encased in bamboo linen cover that’s soft to the touch.
The first comfort layer is made up of (well, yes) a cooling foam but again we didn’t experience much when it comes to cooling and temperature regulation with the Novilla mattress.
We did, however, find this layer to offer compression and extra pressure relief.
The second layer is made up of comfort foam which is another proprietary memory foam alternative that offers even deeper compression and contouring.
Beneath that lies the wave foam that features grooves and waves that offers something similar to zoned support.
This layer is supposedly infused with charcoal for better temperature regulation but once again, we never really experienced anything of note when it comes to the Novilla Bliss’ mattress cooling capabilities.
The base layer is made up of high-density foam that helps provide stable support and also helps hold all the upper layers together for extra stability and durability.
We did experience a small amount of off-gassing when we first unboxed the Novilla Bliss mattress but this dissipated within 48 hours of use.
Durability
For a very affordable mattress, we found the Novilla Bliss mattress to hold up pretty well in terms of durability, especially with proper usage.
Bear in mind though that if you are heavier-set and you use this mattress regularly, you might find it wearing down faster in terms of sinkage due to its softness.
Sizes
The Novilla Bliss mattress comes in 6 standard mattress sizes and 3 different thicknesses: 6 inches, 8 inches and 10 inches.
It is compatible with most bed frames and bases, including bunk beds.

Similar Mattresses to Consider
If the Novilla Bliss mattress does not really sound like the right mattress for you, you might want to consider these alternatives.
SweetNight Prime
Fairly affordable like the Novilla Bliss mattress, the SweetNight Prime mattress is also an all-foam mattress that features memory foam layers.
The key difference between the Novilla Bliss and the SweetNight Prime is that the SweetNight Prime is flippable and offers 4 different mattresses softnesses all within one bed.
Emma Hybrid Comfort
Though not as inexpensive as the Novilla Bliss mattress, the Emma Hybrid Comfort is still pretty affordable especially for a hybrid mattress that features a blend of memory foam and spring coils.
Being a hybrid mattress, the Emma Hybrid Comfort mattress can accommodate heavier-set sleepers and offer them the extra support that they would need which the all-foam Novilla Bliss could not.
Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid
An organic latex hybrid mattress that’s affordable is what you’re looking for? Then look no further than the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid mattress.
Featuring a blend of organic Dunlop latex and pocketed coils, the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid mattress does not only offer responsive support but is also hypoallergenic and naturally cooling, perfect for hot sleepers and those who suffer from chronic allergies.
