Howard Leight by Honeywell Earplugs

Howard Leight Foam Earplugs come in a variety of colors, with a smooth and soil-resistant foam exterior that prevents build-up of dirt, minimizing the chances of ear infections. The earplugs, which fall under the single-use disposable category, are easy to use and provide superb attenuation, promising extreme comfort to enhance your sleeping experience. The Howard Leights are also quite affordable.

How Do They Perform as Sleeping Earplugs? Testing out the Howard Leights, we found out that they are a great choice for people with small ear canals. In our online research to find out experiences from other users, most were generally positive. Upon comparing reviews, some users even claimed that the earplugs worked well for children despite their small ear canals. We confirmed these by testing them out on several individuals, and we can confidently recommend them if you have small ear canals. They offer a comfortable snug, fit to keep out the noise, and deliver a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 30 dB (decibels). This rating is just at the right level to qualify these earplugs for a sleep environment with loud sound / noise level. Let’s put it this way – you will not be hearing your neighbors loud music or barking dog anymore! With an NRR of 30 dB (decibels), the Howard Leight Foam Earplugs record one of the highest rating of any disposable plugs that you can find in the market. For this reason, they are the most popular type of foam earplugs used in bed by most people around the world. They put up a solid performance even in the noisiest of environments. Looking at the material used to build these devices, we found it to be polyurethane foam that works to provide maximum comfort. The foam features a bell shape design that should match the inner ear. As a result, you should expect a secure fit that should last you long enough to get an uninterrupted good night’s sleep.

How to Use the Howard Leight Earplugs

In one set, we found 200 pairs. Since they are sold in bulk and inexpensive, these are not intended to be reusable ear plugs. You can use them a few nights in a row but we do not recommend any more than that. The packaging features a pop-out door that we found to be quite convenient when accessing the earplugs. Durability is not an issue with this type of earplugs because they are disposable after all. Using them is a simple procedure. The first thing you need to do is wash your hands and roll the earplug to be as narrow as it can be without creases. Use your free hand to reach over your head, pull your ear back, and then insert the plug inside the ear canal. Hold it in place for about 30 seconds until it expands and covers your entire ear canal. You should be good to go after this process and have a comfortable fit. You can then lay on your bed or couch and get the peaceful sleep that you deserve even with disturbances around you.
